My name is Carlynne Fikes, LPC. I am a trauma-informed therapist with experience supporting veterans, first responders, and marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+ families. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process trauma, navigate identity and self-esteem challenges, and develop effective coping strategies. Using approaches like Trauma-Focused CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

- Appointments: Telehealth only
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
Past clients have struggled with trauma, abuse, neglect, depression, and loss. I’ve helped veterans and first responders with compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and secondary trauma. I’ve also worked with parents and children of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am a safe clinician who understands how to work with marginalized groups, self-esteem, bullying, identity, and self-expression. The clinical environment that I create with clients allows for safe processing of trauma, cognitive distortions, and identification of healthy coping strategies for stress and anxiety.
My therapy style is empathetic, client-centered, and strengths-based, focused on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences. I blend evidence-based approaches like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring interventions to each client’s unique needs and goals.
My clients have gained a greater understanding of their emotional and psychological challenges, including how past experiences and current stressors impact their well-being. They have developed effective coping strategies and tools to manage difficult emotions, trauma, and stress, helping them feel more in control of their lives.
