Alicia Muhammad, LPC
- Work best with: Young Adults, Adults, Diverse Communities
- Appointments: Telehealth only
- Manage Medications: No, provides therapy only
My approach to therapy is collaborative, holistic, and client-centered. I meet each individual where they are and work together to create a personalized treatment plan that supports healing and personal growth. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring each session to the client’s unique needs and goals.
Clients I’ve worked with have faced challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, women’s issues, ADHD, and relationship concerns. Long-term clients have often worked through deeper patterns like intellectualizing emotions, avoiding core issues, feeling stuck, or struggling with follow-through between sessions. I’ve practiced in both private and structured treatment settings, with extensive experience supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community.
My goal is to offer a safe, affirming, and respectful space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal. Many clients have shared that, through therapy, they’ve learned to care for themselves with compassion, felt genuinely heard, and gained the confidence to move forward. If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey.
