My ideal client would be someone who is open to expressive therapies when words are not enough. Goals ranging from increasing coping skills and self-acceptance to crisis intervention, I believe that connection is one of the most important factors in the therapy setting and clients would want to partner together in healing.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and supervisor with a degree in art therapy and training in evidence-based interventions such as play therapy and equine-assisted therapies. I have facilitated therapies with all ages and have passion for working with those who have experienced trauma.
My goal is to provide a safe space for healing and client-centered care. Each child, adolescent and adult has their own unique ability to survive and thrive. We can promote lasting change and healing by partnering together to find the coping skills, acceptance and exploration of needs through through strengths-based work and expressive therapies.
Credentials
Personal Interests
I was brought to this field by a fascination with the human brain, resiliency in the face of adversity and people’s unique and creative abilities to heal. I became a clinician to help support and promote health in individuals, families and communities- big or small. I have experience working in various levels of care, many age ranges, and enjoy being able to offer expressive modalities in each, including children and teens. For fun, I love to be outdoors, kayaking or exploring, and spending time in adventures through a great book or with my family.
