Hi, I’m Emily, Licensed Professional Counselor. As you explore my background and the way I work, it’s crucial that you feel confident in choosing the right practitioner for your journey. I’m here to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively navigate your unique experiences.
Emily Rounds, LPC
- Work best with: Adults, Older Adults, LGBTQ+ Community
- Appointments: Telehealth only
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
Together, we’ll explore the deeper drivers behind your behavior and build practical, lasting strategies for change. I help patients learn to manage overwhelming emotions, set healthy boundaries, and reduce stress in ways that feel authentic and sustainable. I am very personable, warm, and empathetic. I use humor (when appropriate) to really engage with my patients. I am very open and honest, encouraging my patients to do the same. I am also a direct communicator.
I’m especially attuned to patients who may feel hesitant or anxious about starting therapy. My approach is attachment-focused and experiential, emphasizing a strong therapeutic connection as the foundation for meaningful work. I have experience working with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds and view your personal history as essential to understanding your present experience. I also practice affirmative counseling and have supported many LGBTQ+ patients in navigating their identities and mental health with care and respect.
I offer a warm, welcoming space where you can feel safe to be yourself. My style is non-judgmental, direct when needed, and grounded in empathy. I believe in your capacity to heal, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll work together to create real movement toward your goals.
