Hi, I’m Nicole Porterpan-Cassell, LPC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in working with children, teens, and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I create a supportive and personalized environment where clients can build resilience, strengthen their relationships, and reconnect with themselves. My approach is interactive, grounded, and often playful, especially when working with younger clients.

I specialize in supporting children, teens, and adults who are struggling with feelings of depression, anxiety, grief, and loneliness. These emotional challenges often show up in our relationships and everyday life, leaving us feeling disconnected or overwhelmed. I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families rebuild that sense of connection, both with themselves and with each other, through open communication, compassion, and emotional insight.
In my work, I frequently support clients through life transitions, starting middle school, adjusting to a new job, and navigating changes in family dynamics, all of which can bring added stress and uncertainty. These roadblocks are a normal part of life, but they don’t have to be navigated alone. Together, we’ll work to increase your emotional resilience and create healthier, more balanced ways of coping.
My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based practices, but it’s anything but rigid. I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals, creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and engaging. Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating, and it certainly doesn’t have to be boring. Whether we’re setting meaningful goals, working through difficult emotions, or building practical coping skills, our work together will be collaborative and empowering.
For younger clients or those who connect best through creativity, I often incorporate games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Dreamlight Valley into the therapeutic process. These platforms allow us to explore challenges, practice emotional regulation, and develop problem-solving skills in a way that feels natural, fun, and personalized.
Taking the first step toward therapy is often the hardest part, but you’ve already begun. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your relationship, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care. You’re not alone, and healing is possible.
