Welcome, I’m Aimee. I’m excited to connect with you and share a bit about myself and my approach. As you explore my background and the way I work, it’s crucial that you feel confident in choosing the right practitioner for your journey. I’m here to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively navigate your unique experiences.
Aimee Fuentez, PsyD, LMFT, Post-Doctoral Intern
- Work best with: LGBTQ+ Community
- Appointments: Both in-person and telehealth
- Manage Medications: No, provides therapy only
My therapeutic approach is typically calm, curious, and welcoming. It is client-centered and strengths-based. Sessions tend to be collaborative and exploratory, to help process emotions, come up with a plan, or help the client feel validated.
I typically use IFS, Narrative, and Solution Focused therapy. I tie in parts of ACT as well and sometimes CBT. Depending on the concern, I integrate the modalities that seem like they would be the most helpful. I take into consideration the problem and the person, and their preferences.
My past patients have gained confidence in themself, encouragement to set boundaries, feeling heard and understood. If this is what you’re looking for, please reach out to schedule an appointment.
