Hi, I’m Ashley, LPC-Associate. Making the decision to start your mental healing journey can be intimidating and overwhelming. I thank you for considering me to take part in this process, as your therapist. The information on this page will tell you more about me and help you make your decision.
Ashley Rockwood, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Sara Spotswood (she, her)
- Work best with: Children, Teens, Adults, LGBTQ+ Community
- Appointments: Both in-person and telehealth
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
My style is warm, empathetic, and unhurried, focusing on building self-awareness, emotional regulation, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Patients can expect an inviting, warm, and collaborative conversation that allows them to share what brings them to therapy at a comfortable pace. We’ll discuss the patient’s goals, relevant background, and what they hope feel and gain while also making space for questions, concerns and next steps. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I provide affirming, trauma-informed care to LGBTQ+ patients, drawing on my personal experiences and person-centered approach to support identity, relationships, and well-being.
Many have shared that they feel genuinely heard, empathized with, and respected. Patients often describe leaving therapy emotionally grounded with a clearer sense of direction, greater self-acceptance, and renewed clarity. Patients have shared that they felt authentically seen, with no preconceived judgements, and experienced a sense of warmth, calm, and unhurried support throughout our work together.
