I utilize an eclectic approach, targeted at the needs of each patient. What matters to my patients matters to me, and I will work with them to help them achieve their goals. I may not be knowledgeable about everything they are working through, but I absolutely provide a non-judgemental space for them to explore their paths to their goals. I want to get to know you – understand your history, what led you to therapy, and what your desired goals are, including any barriers you have previously or are currently facing.

I think most say I feel like a friend – a safe place where they can “let down their guard,” so to speak, and be accepted for their real selves without judgment or punishment. Most look forward to their sessions, and even though I do challenge them to change their patterns (because if we always do what we’ve always done, we will always get what we’ve always got), they know I believe in them and I’m cheering for them. Many of my past clients continue to seek me out when they need additional support – most report feeling more equipped to deal with challenges, more educated about their internal processes, and empowered to pursue the best courses of actions to improve the quality of their lives and relationships.
