Self Scheduling
Mental health and daily life stressors continue to impact individuals and their ability to cope. I believe that everyone has the ability to cope with various situations, however sometimes we need to identify ways to implement coping skills effectively. I also believe that everyone strives to be heard and accepted. I make it my goal to provide an environment in which individuals can be vulnerable and express their thoughts and emotions.
I have experience working in various settings including inpatient and outpatient settings through behavioral health hospitals, alternative school settings, and private practice. I have worked with various age groups through implementation of a cognitive behavioral approach.
I am one who works to meet a patient where they are at. I work to help with providing guidance and interventions to help patients meet goals they establish for self while also providing a space to gain what they need in the moment. Patients have said that they really enjoy that I am a gamer and can use different language to express what they need instead of typical mental health language. They have also reported enjoying the personality I have and the lengths I go to help with any resources they need.
