Hi, I’m Mimi Walke, Licensed Professional Counselor. I’m excited to connect with you and share a bit about myself and my approach. As you explore my background and the way I work, it’s crucial that you feel confident in choosing the right practitioner for your journey. I’m here to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively navigate your unique experiences.
Mimi Walke, LPC
- Work best with: Adults, Healthcare Workers, LGBTQ+ Community
- Appointments: Telehealth only
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
I understand how overwhelming life can feel, especially when you are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or the lingering effects of past experiences. My goal is to offer a safe and supportive space where you can express yourself openly, explore what’s weighing on you, and begin the work of healing and growth.
Patients can expect that we will be discussing your medical/psych/social history to find out what events or factors could play a key role into why you’re experiencing the challenges you face today. We will also work on setting goals to achieve during therapy and choose a frequency for sessions moving forward. In our work together, I will help you develop practical coping skills, improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and process the experiences that continue to affect your present.
My patients appreciate my ability to provide a welcoming space for them to be themselves, relax, open up, be vulnerable, challenge themselves, and even have fun. I often see how patients offer compassion to others but struggle to extend the same kindness to themselves. I encourage you to begin offering yourself that same care and understanding. Your feelings are valid and your story matters. When you are ready to talk, I am here to listen.
