I’m here to provide a supportive and non-judgemental space where we can collaboratively navigate your unique experiences.
Rachel Darakhshan, PhD
Licensed Psychologist (she, her)
- Work best with: Parents, LGBTQ+ Community
- Appointments: Both in-person and telehealth
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
A lot of my clients are struggling with interpersonal challenges in their relationships and family, they may also present with difficulties feeling good about themselves or optimistic about their future. Many also struggle to get a good night’s sleep and this may be affecting their functioning during the day. Most are experiencing some degree of impairment either at work, school, or in their personal lives.
My focus is on tailoring evidence based therapies to fit the client’s needs. I believe it is important to listen to what the client’s goals for therapy are and offer skills that address those areas directly so they can take what they learn in session and apply it in their life to make meaningful change.
