My approach to therapy is very relational and patient centered as I focus on the concerns of the patient and build on their strengths. I like to face issues by taking a deeper look into them to gain insight and awareness in hopes to find the best solution or approach. Whatever the patient is concerned about and wants to focus on is what spearheads our work together. I have provided support to those in the medical field such as nurses, physicians, and support staff. I have worked with the LGBTQ+ community since the beginning of my social work experience. I am neuro-divergent affirming.

I believe that “knowledge is power” and love to teach and learn along with my patients. I also believe that it is crucial that the patient be treated as a whole, from all biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects; therefore, I often focus on how these different aspects of a patient’s life interact with each other.

Patients have said I genuinely care, I’m kind, compassionate, and empathetic. I am also trustworthy, loyal, and will always be welcoming. I think that my professional and personal experiences can shed a unique insight on any situation. As well, patients have said that they have enjoyed being able to talk to someone who does not judge or shame them; someone who listens to them completely and who is motivated to help them find a solution, when needed.
