My top priority is creating a therapeutic environment in which patients feel comfortable and accepted. I am here to support your desire to feel better, and together we will tend to the root causes of whatever is bringing you to therapy. I’m also a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, which means that I pay attention to the whole person- mind/body/spirit. In session, we will take time to “be with” emotional discomfort- which is much more manageable with support. I hope to create space for your unique process of expression via non-judgement, while simultaneously helping you identify coping tools that are easy to access at all times.

I am playful and down to earth, while being seriously invested in your process with you. What sets me apart is that I incorporate movement, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation into the therapy. Patients report feeling lighter, having less emotional reactivity, an ability to communicate boundaries, and increased self-esteem. I am grateful I get to witness the transformation process, I see it all the time- people do their inner work, and as a result, move closer to all their dreams and goals.

After going through my own life struggles, I found healing through mind/body therapy. It helped me to discover internal resources and transform pain into strength. I value honesty, humor, and kindness and try to weave these into our therapeutic interaction at every opportunity.

Personal Interests

I was born in Houston and am proud to be serving the community that has supported me throughout my life. In the middle of grad school at HBU, I decided to live in Peru for a year which solidified my love of Spanish, good food, and traveling. Shortly after returning to Houston I discovered something called “Ecstatic Dance”, which brought me to seek out and discover Dance/Movement Therapy (adta.org). I have been privileged to work with individuals and families at St. Joseph Medical Center, DePelchin Children’s Center, and The Harris Center. I absolutely love what I get to do and am thrilled to continue work therapeutically within my community.

I am a kid at heart- I love to dance, sing, and play the day away. I adore being outside. Music and color are two things I cannot live without. I enjoy cooking, gardening, watching movies, reading, and making my daughter laugh. I value learning above all else and am constantly fascinated by all human beings.
