Self Scheduling
My practices are tailored to the individual needs of the patients. I generally begin with assessment and education to help patients better understand themselves and their struggles. I also try to person centered in all of my approaches in order to best understand the needs of the individual / couple while also working to develop a therapeutic relationship based on appropriate authenticity and trust. If a patient is open to it / requests it, I’ll also integrate spiritual / religious counseling from a Christian perspective.
In addition to individual therapy, I have extensive training and experience in couples work, with a focus on improving communication, rebuilding connection, and addressing relational distress. I find it meaningful to help couples strengthen their relationships and navigate conflict more constructively.
I am eclectic in my approaches with patients attempting to develop and integrate therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs. I am very laid back, calm, and have a sense of humor that ranges from dry to animated. I also have a strong focus on genuine connection (within appropriate therapy boundaries) with the patient to help them know that they matter. I also provide them with education, tools, and direction in their process so that they can tackle challenges relating to their therapy goals. Patients have appreciated being able to be heard, challenged, and given tools to help them with addressing their needs. They have also left feeling cared for genuinely.
