As a therapist my most trusted skills are my ability to bring deep listening, compassionate embodied presence, humor and professional integrity to my work. The initial intake session can be intimidating for a lot of people but I do my best to create a relaxed and warm conversation for us to begin working together. I tend to be a bit more directive in the first session and will guide you through questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and any past experiences with therapy or mental health support. You’re always in control of what you share, and we can go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also spend some time talking about how I work, what therapy with me might look like, and any questions or concerns you have. By the end of the session, we’ll begin to clarify your goals and discuss next steps so you can decide if moving forward together feels like a good fit.

I think patients would say that I am funny and very dynamic. I often use humor as a means of evoking honest reflection and emotional release. I believe that my patients would say that I have a unique depth of presence and a sense of deep knowledge of my work.
