Drawing on both evidence-based practices and genuine connection, I meet patients where they are and help them build the insight and resilience needed to move forward. During their first session, we’ll take time to get to know one another and discuss what brings them to therapy, their current concerns, and the goals they hope to achieve. I’ll ask questions about their history at a pace that feels comfortable for them, and together we’ll begin developing a plan that fits their unique needs. My goal is for the patient to leave their first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with a clearer understanding of how we can work together on their healing journey.
At the end of treatment, many patients share that they feel more confident, empowered, and in control of their lives. They often report being able to face situations that once felt overwhelming or triggering with a greater sense of calm and resilience. Patients also describe a deeper understanding of how trauma has affected their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping them replace self-blame with self-compassion. Many leave therapy with increased self-worth, healthier coping skills, and hope for the future.
Many patients tell me they feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted without judgment. I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where people feel comfortable sharing experiences they may have never shared before. Drawing on both my professional expertise and life experience, I help patients gain new perspectives, better understand their experiences, and recognize possibilities for healing and growth they may not have previously considered.

Personal Interests
Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy staying active and creative. I spent more than 20 years in the fitness industry, have completed multiple marathons, and even competed in CrossFit competitions. While these days my pace is a little different, I still love spending time outdoors jogging, hiking, kayaking, or trying just about any adventure-as long as it doesn’t involve skydiving!
When I’m not outside, you’ll often find me in one of my two craft rooms, especially during the fall, creating Christmas decorations and handmade gifts. I’m also actively involved in my church, where I enjoy volunteering as a Sunday School teacher for kindergarten through second-grade children. These activities help keep me grounded, bring me joy, and remind me of the importance of connection, creativity, and play.
