My therapy style is warm, compassionate, and patient-centered – grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. I value whole-person and whole-family care, with everyone being met where they are. I aim to create a culturally responsive space where patients feel seen, valued, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Patients can expect the first meeting approached with curiosity, and we work together to begin shaping a treatment plan that feels supportive and meaningful.

Patients often share that they experience my presence as calming, and that they feel heard, understood, and not judged in our work together. Many describe feeling safe to be their authentic selves, reporting increased self-awareness, improved emotion regulation, healthier communication and boundary-setting, and reduced anxious and depressive symptoms. Patients often share that what feels unique about working with me is my deeply multicultural approach to therapy. I spent a year providing mental health services at a center dedicated to South Asian communities, while also working with other individuals from a wide range of racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. As an Indian American and South Asian-identifying individual myself, I know the importance of culture in how people understand themselves, their relationships, and their emotional experiences.

Personal Interests

I’m trained in an Indian classical dance form called Bharatanatyam, and I love using movement as a way to de-stress – feel free to ask me about dance movement therapy too! I’m also an avid nature lover: the beach is my happy place, and I enjoy hiking, running, and long walks, with a dream of visiting multiple national parks around the world. I also love dogs, getting lost in a good book, and exploring new libraries/coffee shops, trails, and hidden gems!

For individuals from marginalized/underrepresented communities, stigma around mental health and family/community expectations may shape help-seeking. Thus, I approach therapy in a non-pathologizing and strengths-based way for many patients from marginalized communities.
