Hey there, I’m Susan, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I’m excited to share a bit about myself and my approach to help you decide if we might be a good fit.
Susan Sesay, MA, PMHNP
- Work best with: Adults, Veterans, Law Enforcement, First Responders, LGBTQ+ Ally
- Appointments: Both in-person and telehealth
- Manage Medications: Yes. Prescribes and manages medication to support your overall mental health goals.
My patients will always expect supportive, confidential sessions focused on reviewing symptoms, medications, and overall functioning during the intake session. I will incorporate brief therapeutic interventions to address coping skills, stressors, and treatment goals while developing a collaborative plan of care.
Patients appreciate feeling truly heard, receiving clear education about their treatment, and having a collaborative plan tailored to their individual needs. At the end of treatment, my patients normally report feeling more supported, understood, and confident in managing their mental health. They also will notice frequent improvement in symptom control, stronger coping skills, increased insight, and a clearer plan for maintaining stability moving forward.
