My therapy style is trauma-informed, relational, and patient-centered. I integrate behavioral interventions such as CBT, DBT, and ACT with attachment-based, experiential, and somatic practices to help patients build safety and stability while also exploring deeper emotional patterns and healing. Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic space grounded in safety, authenticity, connection, and cultural responsiveness.
During the intake session, patients can expect a supportive and collaborative space where we explore their current concerns, strengths, and coping strategies to better understand their unique experiences and see them as a whole person consisting of body, mind, and spirit. I am thoughtful about pacing to build trust and connection while discussing therapy goals and what approaches may be most helpful moving forward. I also value patients’ autonomy and transparency throughout the therapeutic process, and I welcome questions, feedback, or concerns at any point in our work together.
I am deeply attuned to both what is being said and what may be happening underneath the surface emotionally. Many patients describe feeling warm and grounded in my presence, and have shared that there is a natural flow of emotion between us, even in moments of silence. They also appreciate my capacity to hold whatever unfolds in the space with non-judgement and compassion. As a bilingual clinician and immigrant myself, I also bring strong cultural humility to the therapeutic relationship, especially for patients navigating identity, belonging, trauma, or cultural expectations.
Through our work together, many of my patients have shared that, beyond symptom relief, they developed greater clarity, self-compassion, self-worth, and emotional healing. Patients often describe feeling deeply heard and seen, while gaining more hope and capacity to navigate challenges and build stronger connections with themselves and others. One patient shared that before therapy they felt empty and fearful much of the time, but through the therapeutic process, they began to feel more alive and empowered with the emerging “true self”.
