I meet patients where they are in terms of their comfortability with the therapeutic process. I will get to know them as a person who is more than their presenting concern as well as give them a chance to experience me, the person accompanying them along their therapeutic journey.

Past patients have sought help with depression, anxiety, trauma, multicultural issues, ASD, OCD, self-esteem issues, and body image issues. Throughout treatment, I utilize gentle confrontation and alternative perspectives for the patient to consider that facilitate an increase in insight. This increased insight, along with validation and specific therapeutic approaches, creates a greater sense of confidence in their ability to address their problems and concerns.

My relaxed approach sets me apart from other therapists. I believe that allowing patients to view me as a fellow human allows them to feel more comfortable in the therapeutic space than less personal approaches. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, please reach out to schedule an appointment.

I utilize ACT-based principles in therapy as almost every presenting concern can benefit from mindfulness and acceptance practices. Outside of specific therapies, I always work from a multiculturally sensitive, trauma-informed lens.
