I have an immense passion for helping individuals, children, couples, and families by assisting them in finding their inner strengths and natural capabilities that aid in creating positive change and fostering healthy relationships. Becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor was a natural path for me as I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives. I started my professional journey in a chemical dependence treatment center, inpatient treatment for dual diagnoses, and substance abuse programs for repeat offenders, before transitioning to private practice. One important aspect of my personal journey is that, I myself, participated in counseling as an adolescent. I believe in creating a safe and empathetic space for my clients to explore their concerns.
Showing compassion and validation, with effective listening skills, while being relatable is important for the therapeutic relationship. Patients should expect my complete attention, to assess for problem areas, understand individual goals, and should be expect to be treated with respect and kindness. They will be provided with an overview of what to expect in the intake and follow-up appointments moving forward.
Patients have expressed their appreciation for the time spent, feeling heard and understood, and provided with guidance that empower them to continue thriving in a new direction. In addition, patients have said that I take the time to listen and provide effective feedback, respect their time, show compassion for their individual needs, in addition to fostering a kind, caring relationship.

Personal Interests
I have a fraternal twin, a sister who is literally the complete opposite of me! My husband, a US Army Reserve Veteran, and I, have two incredible children, a 15 year old daughter and an 11 year old son. When I step out of the therapy room, you’ll discover my passion for fitness, nutrition, weight training, anything sports, hiking, the outdoors, and trying new things with my children and husband. Whether it’s diving into true crime stories or creating new fitness recipes, these pursuits not only bring me joy but also enrich my understanding of the world. Building a safe, positive environment that elicits growth, is at the core of my approach, and I’m excited about the chance to deepen our connection as we embark on this journey together.
