All of us face difficult moments in life. Often, the world around us shifts faster than we can adjust, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed. But like all living things, one of our greatest strengths is resilience. As a mental health professional, my role is to help individuals recognize and build on the strengths they already have to face whatever challenges life presents.

I believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment for patients to process feelings, focus on goals, develop problem solving techniques, and coping strategies that work best for the individual. Although feelings may be universal, therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” process because everyone’s journey is unique to them. The ultimate goal is for someone to be comfortable with who they are and comfortable within their environment.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience supporting adults across a wide range of concerns. Patients can expect a very casual, flexible approach and l think humor is an important tool for increasing the patient’s comfort level. I am also not a big “homework giver”.
