Long before I became a therapist, I was drawn to understanding how people heal. My professional journey began as a yoga instructor, where I witnessed the powerful connection between the mind and body and learned that healing often begins by simply creating space to pause and listen. That curiosity eventually led me into social services, where I spent more than two decades walking alongside people facing mental health challenges, chronic illness, trauma, poverty, and major life transitions. Along the way, I worked closely with women rebuilding their lives after intimate partner violence and led psychoeducational workshops combining behavioral strategies and peer support for individuals experiencing chronic illness. Amid that, I spent ten years managing a community garden, where I saw firsthand how connection—to ourselves, to others, and to nature—can nurture resilience in unexpected ways.
Those experiences continue to shape who I am as a therapist today. I’ve learned that every person’s story is unique, and there is no single path toward healing. My goal is to offer a space where patients feel genuinely accepted, where we can approach life’s challenges together with curiosity instead of judgment. I especially enjoy supporting adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, grief, trauma, and the physical and emotional shifts that accompany a woman’s journey through midlife.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m continually inspired by nature, mindfulness, the mind/body connection, and the belief that the path to growth and authenticity is ever-changing. It is a privilege to be invited into someone’s story, and I strive to meet each patient with authenticity, compassion, and optimism as we work together toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentic.

Personal Interests
I’m from Texas and have lived here most of my life, but I value the experience of immersing oneself in different cultures and countries. I’m grateful to have had many such opportunities, having volunteered in the Peace Corps, studied yoga in India, worked on farms in Italy, and trekked the Camino de Santiago through Portugal and Spain. I love hiking, all animals, and watching movies.
