My therapy style is warm, conversational, practical, and strengths-based. I help patients identify what is working, clarify what they want to be different, and develop realistic steps toward meaningful change while providing support, humor, and a judgment-free space.

I have experience working clinically with law enforcement, first responders, and veterans, as well as extensive community engagement experience. During my work with the Alzheimer’s Association, I partnered with and provided education to law enforcement and first responders in the community. I have also volunteered alongside these populations and have a strong personal understanding of law enforcement culture, as my father was a police officer and close family friends served in law enforcement leadership roles.

I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, who have made up a significant portion of my caseload since 2023. My work includes supporting gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and queer patients, as well as couples with diverse relationship structures. I have experience addressing relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, identity-related concerns, and providing gender-affirming support.

Patients can expect a relaxed, conversational first session focused on getting to know them, what brings them to therapy, and what they would like to be different.  My patients often tell me that therapy feels like talking with a real person and that they appreciate my conversational, down-to-earth approach. I meet people where they are, use humor when appropriate, and focus on practical solutions and realistic next steps they can actually use in their lives.
