I’m Ajah, Licensed Master Social Worker, and I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigate anxiety, emotional challenges, and life transitions with practical support and compassion. I most often draw from CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. I integrate these approaches in a practical and collaborative way, helping patients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building concrete coping tools, emotional awareness, and values-based action steps. When working with children and families, I also incorporate parent coaching and developmentally appropriate interventions to ensure skills translate into daily life.
I work to create a space where patients feel safe enough to be honest, while also helping them better understand patterns, build practical coping tools, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. I value balancing empathy and validation with direct support, skill building, and real-life application. Patients can expect the intake session to feel supportive, conversational, and structured. I take time to understand the current concerns, relevant history, family or relational dynamics, and what feels most important to address, while also identifying strengths and meaningful treatment goals.
Patients and families have shared that they feel more confident, more equipped with practical tools, and more hopeful in navigating challenges that once felt unmanageable. Many have expressed gaining a better understanding of their emotional patterns, improved communication, and an increased ability to respond to anxiety or stress with greater flexibility and confidence. Patients often share that I make it easy for them to connect, open up, and feel safe enough to be honest about what they are struggling with. I bring a genuine, down-to-earth style that balances empathy, encouragement, and honesty, allowing patients to feel supported while also challenged to move toward meaningful growth and change.

When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family, outdoors, or finding a new place to explore. I’m a mom of two, originally from Southern California, and I enjoy reading, journaling, drawing, and coloring; I even keep a coloring book on my desk for little moments of reset. I also love a good laugh and making people smile.
