Hello! I’m Alicia, an MSW student in training to be a therapist. Whether you’re looking to dig into your past or make changes for your future, I thank you for considering me to join you on your therapeutic journey. The information on this page should help you get to know me and my therapeutic style a bit better to see if we’d be a good fit.
Alicia Yefimenko
Supervised by Patty Pomroy, LCSW
- Work best with: Adolescents, Young Adults, LGBTQ+ Community, Patients with ADHD, Patients with Autism
- Appointments: Both in-person and telehealth
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
I believe deeply in the power of connection and understanding to form the foundation for emotional wellbeing and growth. I can’t wait to get to know you and help you get to know yourself! I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to uncover the thoughts and feelings at the heart of how you operate and psycho-education to help you understand how they show up in the rest of your life.
I bring a warm, non-judgmental, and playful energy to my sessions. Just because therapy can be serious, doesn’t mean it should always be somber. I love to use humor to gently challenge my patients to be the best version of themselves they can be.
I have a particular passion for working with adolescents, neurodivergent folks, and those in the LGBTQ+ community.
Credentials
Education
Master of Social Work, expected graduation May 2027
Personal Interests
I’m a lifelong learner, known to start more projects that I finish. I spend my free time playing D&D, supporting my local music scene, and providing a cozy lap for my two, one-eyed chihuahuas. (They were like that when I rescued them, I promise!)
