I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC), and a Level Two Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR II) therapist. I have worked in the field for over 15 years and have branched out into clinical counseling and management. I earned my degrees, both bachelor’s and master’s, in counseling from the University of North Texas and am a native Texan! Born and raised in Dallas. I am completing my Ph.D. in organizational leadership at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and truly love helping. I believe in organizations, people, hope, healing and being a part of something bigger than myself. I have never met a stranger and cannot wait to meet you
Amber Wrye, LPC
- Appointments: Both in-person and telehealth
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
My demeanor and approach are both interactive, attentive, and warm. I believe in full expression of emotions coupled with active listening can build safety and trust. The goal of therapy is to help you heal, discover yourself, get out of the shadows of your past that can help you change the course of your life. I would be your biggest cheerleader! I honor the space and intention that comes with sharing energy and thoughts in sessions.

Personal Interests
After working in mental health and substance abuse counseling for over 11 years I decided to go back to school and get my PhD. I realized that many people, people who I am not able to reach also need help navigating life issues especially in businesses. I am an eclectic clinician. I was, at one point in my life, a yoga instructor and the body carries past energy that needs to be released. I love crystals and singing bowls as well as a good suit and heels. In my spare time you can find me traveling, dancing to a live DJ or gaming.
