I focus on meeting patients where they are, helping them build insight, emotional regulation skills, and practical tools for change. Patients can expect the intake session to be a collaborative and welcoming space focused on getting to know them and understanding what brings them to therapy. We will explore current concerns, relevant background information, and what they hope to gain from the therapeutic process, while also beginning to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. I prioritize creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable moving at their own pace.

A key part of my clinical work is a culturally responsive lens shaped by my identity as a first-generation Mexican American clinician. I strive to meet patients where they are by honoring cultural values, family dynamics, generational experiences, and identity-related stressors. This perspective allows me to build strong rapport and provide care that is grounded in understanding, cultural humility, and lived experience, particularly when working with Latina women, first-generation individuals, and families navigating complex cultural expectations.

What distinguishes my approach is the integration of evidence-based modalities with a culturally attuned, relational style. I focus on creating a safe and collaborative space where patients feel seen, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change at their own pace.

Personal Interests

I grew up playing soccer, which is still one of my favorite sports and something that shaped my teamwork mindset. I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors in nature-especially hiking-and finding small moments to slow down and reset.

I also love thrifting and antiquing, and I’m always on the lookout for unique finds with character. At home, I’m usually with my dog, Jack Jack, a playful Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix who keeps me grounded and entertained.
