Hi, I’m Dorothy Seely, LCSW. I work with adults who are facing emotional challenges, major life shifts, or longstanding patterns that feel hard to break. My goal is to help you better understand what’s behind your feelings and offer tools that fit your life. Whether you’re managing symptoms of anxiety, navigating grief, or simply feeling stuck, I aim to provide a grounded, compassionate space where we can work together to find clarity and a path forward.
Dorothy Seely, LCSW
- Appointments: Telehealth only
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and trauma in both adults and older adults. I believe that healing begins with understanding, not just the symptoms, but the deeper reasons behind thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach is grounded in curiosity, respect, and a commitment to helping clients better understand themselves in the context of their lived experiences.
In addition to mood and trauma-related concerns, I have extensive experience working with addiction, chronic illness, life transitions, grief, and loss. I also work with neurodivergent individuals and strive to create a space that is welcoming, affirming, and responsive to the unique ways each person moves through the world.
A key part of my work involves helping you connect therapeutic tools and strategies to your real-life context. Whether that means integrating your interests, exploring new coping skills, or shifting long-held patterns, my focus is on making therapy practical, relevant, and sustainable. I aim to foster a collaborative environment where you feel encouraged to engage deeply and move toward relief, insight, and meaningful change at your own pace.
