I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, while emphasizing that patients are the experts of their own lives. During the intake session, patients can expect a supportive and collaborative environment where we begin getting to know one another and discussing what brings them to therapy. The intake is also an opportunity to build comfort and trust while developing a plan tailored to the patient’s individual needs and goals.

Patients have shared that one of the most meaningful parts of our work together was feeling genuinely seen, understood, and not alone in their struggles. Many have expressed appreciation for the balance of empathy, honesty, and authenticity I bring into the therapeutic relationship, describing therapy as feeling like a conversation with another human being rather than a clinical experience. I would say that my patients have said that in working with me they felt a true human to human connection rather than expert vs patient relationship.
