Most clients I work with seek belonging within their families, peer groups, and communities. They often navigate complex emotional challenges that impact how they see themselves and relate to others. These experiences are real and meaningful. My role is to help them explore and understand these struggles in a way that feels validating and empowering. Together, we work toward creating space where they can feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I have worked with and learned from various people with many concerns. I have learned as much from them as they have from me, if not more, about how to approach and work to resolve their concerns.

I take the perspective of this being a journey, not a race, with both its ups and downs and full of opportunities to learn and grow. Guiding a person through this thoughtfully and caringly, listening while providing observations, insights, and professional wisdom along the way to them seeing what they can do.

In my work, I find it best to work collaboratively with the person in a way that is supportive, understanding and emphasizes the person’s strengths and abilities to identify and overcome the challenges that they are currently facing.
