I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. As a generalist, I have experience seeing a wide variety of concerns. I specialize in interpersonal and complex trauma recovery, perfectionism, relational issues, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, ADHD, depression, and adjustment difficulties. I also have an interest in working with students and practitioners from professional fields (e.g., law, medicine, physical therapy). I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and welcome the identities held by each person who walks through the door without making assumptions.

I use a flexible approach that we build together to best fit your needs. This approach includes interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotion-focused therapy. I view the relationship I have with my clients as the foundation of our work together, and I aim to create a comfortable, safe, affirming, and appropriately challenging space.

I would love to connect if you think we would be a good fit. I also specialize in psychological assessments/testing with children through adults. I provide ADHD, autism, personality, and IQ testing. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more!

Credentials

Education

I’m from Austin and received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and child learning and development from the University of Texas at Dallas. I obtained my master’s degree in psychology and my Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Iowa State University. After completing my pre-doctoral internship at Creighton University housed within the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology, I decided to flee the cold and tornadoes and return home to Austin.

Personal Interests

During my training I have worked in university counseling centers, private practice, a substance use intervention program, and an accessibility/disability office. I have experience providing individual therapy, group therapy, psychological assessment, and crisis counseling to adolescents and adults. As a queer, nonbinary, and second generation Asian American, I value recognizing intersectionality and aim to acknowledge how power and privilege show up in and outside the therapy room. I hope to provide a warm, affirming space for people of all backgrounds.

In my free time I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, playing guitar poorly, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, watching sports, and playing Magic: The Gathering.
