Hi, I’m Christopher Keener, LPC. I work with teens, adults, and families facing challenges like depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and addiction. I aim to create a supportive space where clients feel safe to explore what’s holding them back and develop practical tools for moving forward. My approach combines structure and compassion, drawing from CBT and Rogerian Therapy to help shift unhelpful thought patterns and strengthen relationships both with self and others.
Christopher Keener, LPC
- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and addiction. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their challenges, gain insight, and work toward meaningful goals with structure and support. Known for my calm and compassionate presence, I also bring a sense of levity to sessions when appropriate. With a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rogerian Therapy, I help clients identify and challenge irrational beliefs, thinking errors, and unhelpful patterns that may hold them back.
In addition to individual work, I offer relationship counseling and family therapy. I support clients as they navigate communication difficulties, family conflict, and issues related to dating, daily stressors, and future planning. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I focus on helping clients strengthen their relationships, clarify their values, and build the tools they need to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
