Hi, I’m Shelby Silvey, LCSW. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and the emotional toll of serious or life-limiting medical conditions. I also support caregivers facing burnout and individuals coping with anticipatory loss. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, blending practical tools with emotional insight to help clients find stability, resilience, and clarity during life’s most difficult moments. I also have experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and offer a safe, inclusive space for growth and healing.

- Manage Medications: Provides therapy and collaborates closely with our psychiatry team for medication management, available through internal referral if needed.
Welcome! I have experience helping clients cope with anxiety, depression, and grief. I support and counsel clients and their families who struggle to cope with the impact and changes that arise from a serious and/or terminal medical diagnosis, including caregiver burnout. I also have experience working with and supporting LGBTQ+ clients.
I use a collaborative approach and solution-focused techniques to help you identify solutions (future-focused) and not dwell on problems. I use grief counseling to help you cope with anticipatory grief and death. I want to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and help you learn coping skills.
Past clients of mine have shared they feel heard, understood, and supported. Many have gained more confidence to address their worries and attempt to overcome their fears. Many have increased their self-awareness and improved their social connections, as well as, learned and incorporated coping skills in high-stress events.
